Nr 17

  Es war ein kleiner Hund und ein großer Mann. Sie aßen zusammen, sie schliefen zusamen und gingen zusamen aus und ein.  Niemand kannte den einen ohne den anderen. Der kleine Hund hatte ein weiches Fell und dunkel, rasche Beine.  Kinder besuchten ihn mit gespartem Zuckerzeug, Ehepaare liefen einen Umweg, um ihn am Zaun zu begrüßen, würdige Männer sprachen ihn auf der Straßen an. Es liebten ihn alle Leute, er aber liebte nur den großen Mann, und der große Mann wurde nur von ihm geliebt, denn es war ein einsamr Mannwurde nur von ihm geliebt, denn es war ein einsamer Mann mit vielen offenen Fehlern und vielen heimlichen Tugenden.

 




Once upon a time, there was a little dog and a tall man. They ate together,slept together and went out and came in together. Nobody knew the one without the other. The little dog had a soft skin and dark tender eyes. It had a moist nose and rapid four legs too. Children came to visit them to take sugar cake that was saved for the dog. A pair of couple went the long way to come and meet it by the fence. Grave man spoke to it on the street. All people loved the dog, but it loved only the tall man. and the lonely tall man was loved only by it. As a matter of fact,  the tall man had a many shortcomings and secret virtues.
